Forum Issues Part II
Hello everyone. If you haven't noticed already, I've disabled the new forums. Last night while performing the new so called update for them, it erased everything. No user accounts, no forums, no nothing. It looks like a brand new "empty" install instead of just a version update. I still have the database intact and am working now to try and re sync all the data with the PHPBB3 software.

If I'm unable to restore the forums to their current status, I can go with the other option of turning the old PHPBB2 forums back on. However if I do revert back to the old forums, we will loose all the messages created since last Feb. 2008 when I updated to PHPBB3. The databases for each version are incompatible and I can't revert PHPBB3 native posts into the old PHPBB2 database.

In other site news, I'm still looking for a solution for displaying recent forum posts on the front page. Don't let this discourage you from using the forums. They work perfectly. - ][avok

Thank You
Thanks to everyone who joined the Blitz game over the long weekend. Based on the game score the Colonies of Man (Gilgamesh) came out on top with the most tonnage sunk and most points accumulated. A close second place goes to the Privateers (Lord Loki). Third place goes to the Lizards and if this game had gone on much longer, I think they would have been the force to be reckoned with.

Happy Thanksgiving
I have a small treat for everyone today. We're running a Blitz game.

Thanksgiving Blitz! will run once an hour all day long and when all turns arrive. The Blitz will continue throughout the Thanksgiving weekend starting today Thursday the 22nd of Nov. through Sunday the 25th of Nov.

However on the Friday - Sunday portion of the blitz, the host will be scheduled to run only 4 times per day at Midnight, 6am, Noon and 6pm, and of course, when all turns arrive early. - ][avok

Thursday Update
It was a busy day today. For starters I deleted at least 100 dead / inactive / never used, accounts from AutoTroll. From there the Hall of Fame and Player Scores were updated from the recently ended games.

Old School 2 has started. Thanks for joining. I've been working on some new graphics and games and will see about getting some of them launched over the weekend. - ][avok

Site Update
We have one new game accepting players.

There has a been a lot going on lately and that's prevented me from taking care of some things around the site. I'm hopeful that I'll have some time this weekend to run some maintenance and maybe post a couple of new games as well. - ][avok

Tuesday Update
The final stalled games were run today at noon. If you missed a turn, I can only say you have been warned several times over the last 5 days prior to running the host.

The site forms have been fixed as well. New game signup, player signup, etc., are all working now.

Sunday Update - Stalled Games Everything is up and running except the forums. After trying several different backups, they don't want to restore. I've been contemplating using another message board for some time, and now may be that time. I apologize for any inconvenience this is causing the regulars.

Regarding AutoTroll, it's been back online now for 48+ hours. There are still 18 stalled games, and in a handful of those games, it's 1 single TRN file holding it up. I took time this morning to mail every user that still has turns out and will wait a bit longer for them to arrive. However, if these turns don't arrive in a reasonable amount of time, I will go ahead and turn those games back on. So pay attention slow pokes and procrastinators, you have been warned.
