Armaggedon gives you the possibilty of ending your games in a big battle. All you have to do is to execute ARMAGDN <game path>, i.e. ARMAGDN C:\VPL If you do not specify <game path>, the current directory is used. SHIP.HST must be present in the directory.

Armaggedon will try to delete all alliance information from both HOST and PHost. Sometimes an "alliance deletion error" may occur when using HOST versions < 3.2. > If this error pops up with PHost, please report this.

ATTENTION: Errors while working on ships are fatal errors. These should be reported immediately! Please send your SHIP.HST file to the address below and describe with which host version this happened.

GScore is what can be termed, an intelligence aid. It graphs the VGAP score, Planets, Starbases, Capital ships, Freighters, and Total ships over the progressive turns.

This is a very simple utility for VGA Planets Host. With multiple (!) purpose:

1. It allow you to control what player?.trn are present before hosting, and stamp it on a log file called hstutils.log. It will also make a stattrn.log file that will conserve the history of all turn processing with there turn number (+1).
2. It allow you to make a more readable score.log, with the turn number, individual player score and (if found teams.nm) team score. Optional with tons score.

Map Wizard is a map generator, viewer and editor for Tim Wisseman's game VGA Planets (verision 3.x). This is an utility for the GameMaster, not for the player! Player can only see the map and some map statistics of his game.

Everyone has seen games, where one race is reach of planets, and there is a lot of treasures on that planets. And another is poor, has small territory and no chances to develop and win...

Main idea of this utility - to help Gamemaster in detecting and preventing such situations. When Map Wizard works with map, it looks over the planets where starting positions would be (i.e. homeworlds).

PENG is a portable replacement for "Penguin": a program to manipulate VGA Planets ship lists and related definition files.

It uses (almost) the same file format as Penguin 1.x and 2.x (you can feed Penguin input files into this one to get the same results), and can be used to compile ship lists for Host 3.x and PHost 3.x and later. Ship lists for earlier PHost versions must be pconverted, this program uses the normal DOS file format.

In addition, peng contains a unique new algorithm to work around checksum problems.

Strip homeworld data from xyplan.dat files

Depending on the exact sequence used to master the game, the location of homeworlds may be stored in the xyplan.dat file in the game directory. Since this file may be sent out to players in a custom-map game, cheating is possible.

SMap is a utility for VGA-Planets hosts that creates maps (XYPLAN.DAT) with less than 500 planets. Default map count values are 25, 50, 100 & 250. Then you can select a short or large distance between them.

This is a great util for making maps where only 2 players are fighting for the universe and championship tournements.
