Re: Warped Board?

Note to self: check calendar for upcoming long vacations before signing up for games.

Postscript to self: note that likelihood of affording another extended vacation anytime soon renders remembering this nearly pointless.

Only mostly dead

But I got better! (Okay, fine, mixing my movies up and I wasn't ill, but it's the first thing that came to mind) Just wanted to pop in and say howdy to all the fine folks here, been a while since I flew the VGAP spaceways but I'm thinking of easing back into it, and what better place than here? Hope...

Nothing like being behind, but I give my excuse as being a weekend-long Turkey-thon w/ the extended family. So happy late Thanksgiving to you too!

And yes... when we got back home Monday, there was indeed snow. :x

Re: It's a Boy!!

All, First, sorry about not getting my turns in as of late. My wife has been pregnant and I've been having to fly from RI to VA to visit about every other weekend. Well last Friday they induced her labor and our baby boy, Nicholas David, was born Saturday weighing in at 8lbs 4 ounces. After everyth...

I'm a real fan of GIVEPLAN, What Giveplan needs is a limitation. ie: X# of uses per game and no more. Powerful but limited. Wonder if we could convince warpedboard to work up such a thing? If you twisted my arm enough, or yelled at me loud enough, I might be convinced to have a look at it :w...

Advantage of VPA is being able to do your turn with VPA. Disadvantage of VPA, is its ugly as sin, crappy DOS Program, and not very intuitive. Echoview, is much easier to use, easier on the eyes, lots more custom settings, works perfectly with Randmax for planet settings. Love the 20 turn forcaster,...

I think you may find yourself in the minority here... Oh that's okay, I find myself in the minority most places on that subject. Though there are a few people in my camp to be sure. I tried liking that movie the second time I watched it, I really did try, but there are too many things that a...

However, since VCR replacement has come up too, thought I'd mention that if you want to replace the graphics in wpvcr.dll, I made a util a while back to both unpack all the bitmaps in the file into individual .bmp files, and allow repacking said (possibly modified) files back into a wpvcr.dll. If y...

Can't help much on the extract-from-DOS-resource front -- Bane & Klauser (and others) have done by far the best work I've seen there.
