lol - I think you will find in a regular game just about everyone gets into an alliance. I is a very rare person that sends an ingame message to every player declaring war.

You can always count on the person in first place vote to end. My vote should not count against second and third place players if they think they can change the outcome. It is the person's in second and third (perhaps forth) that should be given the weight in a vote. They are the ones who would hav...

Doing turns can be a tedious chore. The fun part is developing a strategy, implementing, and conquering when the outcome is unknown. It is the challenge that is fun. But once the outcome is known, the challenge is gone. Then the game becomes a tedious chore. I could run sims all day to see ships blo...

hmmm - after action report - I'll be brief: You were right in your assessment that I transferred a bunch of small ships to the Gorn for hissing. That gave us an immediate economic advantage. Because the Gorn was to the right of me and I was in the corner, I had to bust out going North. So I sent som...

Well let's see - I voted to end it because I didn't see any realistic way for our opponents to uproot Casebolt and myself from the #1 & 2 positions. If I thought we could be beat, I'd continue. I don't think the game should end because 7 players vote to end if anyone truly they could overtake the wi...

Actually, I agree the game is in essence over. I figured we had the game won more than a dozen turns ago and have been going thru the motions. I usually don't push to end as I believe our opponents should also see the futility in playing further. But when the Gorn get fully loaded bases, it will tak...

Of course I am ready - I'm in the lead. This game has boiled down to two sets of allies Bird/Tholian and Facsist/Robot. I've suspected it was over except running the clock for a while now. I don't see any way they will be able to catch me or my ally. We are going through that stage where we h...

We just happen to be at opposite ends of the echo cluster. So of course there was not much interaction between us. I can't imagine you going without firing a shot. Somebody took out the Rebels. I chaulked that up to you and perhaps the Gorn. I know we hit the Gorn from our side but somebody else was...

Birds are still one of the most powerful races in the game. Your tactics are different is all. Play the race. Ignore the guides (they do suck). "Birds with a Bite" is decent if you are looking for guidance. The others actually give bad advice. I might be wrong, but my experience with SS(SuperSpy) is...

Request for rst does send the latest rst to you. So if any of you had a similar problem, just request the latest rst.

strange hiccup

Is it just me. Turn 79 just processed but instead of receiving the rst for turn 79, I received turn 78. I sent in a request for the latest rst - hopefully that will solve this little problem. It was just odd. I started to process the turn and realized nothing I had done was processed. And enemy ship...

Everybody thinks the birds are weak because of their shiplist. They have other strengths. The truth of the matter is it is not the size of thier ships that make them weak. Their biggest weakness is the lack of a cash enhancement or advantage. That just slows them down. Once they get their economy fi...

While I'd love to have Darkwings in the Klingon fleet, I'll never play the Birds again either. I keep wanting to pillage folks and all I can do is super spy. I'll be glad when this one is over. Don't give up on the birds just yet. The trick to playing the birds is to play using their race advantage...

And even worse - it would be PHost games where every other race was Pirate.
