Where are all the REAL Klingons???

No Frills 13 and 15 just lost their Klingon players and both games are maybe a week old! What gives? I know there is a lot of talk about the Klingons being a hard race to play, but to be out by turn 3?????

OK - thanks. Maybe we were being overly meticulous, but I won one of those games and placed 3rd with my ally coming in first in another. It did make things a bit of a drag though. The 4-way alliance was when I was pretty new at it and we were all in the same office (just like the one mentioned above...

OK so if you don't mind me asking, how well did the alliance work? My ally and I were talking to co-ordinate pretty much every move in one game I can think of, lining up battle order for mixed fleets etc. Time consuming but very effective.

Alliances are a whole subject themselves. I purposely didn't take any allies in my current game and I had more fun than some games where I've been in a 2 or 3 way (or once, 4 way) alliance and spent half my time emailing or MSN'ing back and forth to decide what we had to do next. I'm in 4th place as...

That's one of the interesting things about Planets - you can be bashing the frap out of each other one game and allies in the next. The only thing I will carry over from one game to the next is if somebody has proven himself to be untrustworthy.

Well - you know how family reunions can be - sometimes friendly and big hugs, sometimes boring, sometimes all hell breaks loose. I haven't actually had any dealings with Johnny in the Navgap game so we have no history there - no telling what happens this time though......

Cheers

Is that the same Angry Johnny that is playing a game at Navgap? 'Cause this is the same Gilgamesh.

my 2 cents...... - D7 is good as is, maybe a little more cargo room.... - either beef up the Deth Spec with more mass and a much bigger fuel tank, or give the Klingons the Resolute - Ill-wind - instead of a Resolute maybe make the Ill Wind cloakable and give it 2 more torp tubes - more of everything...

It's around $1.07 per litre here in my part of Canada so - what - around $4 per gallon in Canadian funds? Which would convert to around $5 USD...... :(

Thanks Merlyn - I had read that guide and that's what sparked my questions (BTW nice avatar - I loved that movie!) So here's a greatly simplified example.... I'm the Klingon, you are the Empire. We both reach a point in the game where the ship limit has been reached and we have one maxed out starbas...

Question about Auto Troll Scoring

Hi - I'm new on this site so my apologies if this has been addressed before. So - as I understand it Auto Troll scoring works purely on military strength and pays no attention to the infrastructure, the number of planets etc, is that right? Does that become unbalanced for some races? Not all tech 10...

Last time I looked there was one game running and one game signing up at NAVGAP. I think Neil is trying but his job changed a couple of years ago and it's been really tough on him to keep at it but he's soldiering on. Too bad because he's a great guy and NAVGAP is a classic site.

Hi Ogie. Nice to meet you (although we may not say that about each other in the game!) I don't know all the players here but I see Merlyn is in the game and as far as I know he's a very well experienced player. Should be an interesting game. I've been playing at NAVGAP for several years but I though...

Nothing more fun then pillaging some poor petaQ for 10,000 mc!

Klingons every time (although I have a few more races I want to play to better know my enemy).

Cheers
