Re: Minefield Identity

Ship movement happens after mine laying, so as Donovan said: Say farewell to your ships. The only reason I can imagine: if you don't move and stay inside the minefield...but in this case, you can also lay a field of your own race. Maybe to double it also in the name of your allies race (fc: miX, wit...

New game at High Command?

Qapla! First of all, thank you Havok for giving me the oppotunity to post this here! I'm wondering if I should setup a new game at the moment. Most players don't wanna join a game when summer and holidays are to come. I'm thinking about setting up a weekly game, no addons, standard shiplist. Host 2x...

Re: New URL for High Command

Hello, currently I'm talking to my son about giving me some space at his homepage. This means, I could transfer everything "as is" to his domain. This would also include 2 new mailadresses: one for the feedback and one for the turns. Things look good at that point, but we haven't talked about that f...

New URL for High Command

Qapla! Just to let you know: My provider has raised the fee for the webspace: +65%. I'm not willing to accept that, so I did quit it. From August-05 on, the URL http://www.high-command.net will not longer exist . This includes the mailadresses ( games@, feedback@, autotroll@). [ For the first, I wil...

Re: How did you started in VGA Planets?

In late 1997, I saw an announcement "VGAP: New games starting" at my ISP, which was CompuServe at that time. My first race were the Klingons (surprisingly ;-) ) I will never forgot how proud I was, attacking the homeworld of the Privateers with 3 Ill Winds and 4 Vics, moving straight against him...a...

Mentoring for AutoTroll

Qapla! I had a look at some old posts and got a little bit nostalgic about the old times of the game... Maybe some of you feel the same? So, if you wanna do something against it: Try and become a host. I would be more than willing to support and share my experience. Just drop me a short line, here o...

I fully agree with the others. Good job, albatross.

Qapla! My router had deceided to end its life. After I bought and installed a new one, AutoTroll deceided to end its life and I had to reanimate it by the last backup (which was fortunately made only 2 hours before). How I hate evenings like this... All is up and running again now. Regards Matthias,...

Besides the RST, it also needs other game files like beamspec.dat, torpspec.dat etc., else it skips. But as it seemed to work before, I agree with Havok, that a missing RST is the most probably reason. Did you try to use the " pause " command to stop the batch after the "spacelrd.exe " command? So y...
