Started 1996 at CompuServe with a 24k modem. They had a VGAP group. I'll never forget my very first game, when I tried to take the HW of the Privateers with a fleet of Klingon "Victorious Class Battleships". Man, how proud I was about this fleet. The next RST had me learned a lot about the Privateer...

hwcfg.exe definitely creates the 4 files listed. homeworld.cfg homeworld.dat mess.tmp messpnt.tmp If you don't see them in your game folder, look in your host folder. I know these files are there, else HW would not work correctly. The difference is how files are handled. I have no game and no host ...

Qapla! Uah, I should have controlled the size of the image before sending it.... I didn't check which files are created by HW, but the length of the path has no influence in my case. I always run the configs in the game folder itself, and I never use any paths, all needed files are always in ...

Qapla! Havok, following the thread, I'm not sure if you had a chance running the config file for HW. I did some simulations too. Without the config, homeworld runs and creates a log file, but there's no action. After running the config it looks fine. I simply tested it by placing 3 Golems on Fed HW,...

Qapla! I wouldn't let The Q run one of my turns to save life in the Echo Cluster. :) I would no CP run my turn ;-), not SpaceLord, nor Q, but it's better than being taken out of the game or miss the turns. The main thing is, that players can activate Q by themselves whenever they want. As long as th...

Qapla! Thought about making a new topic before I red this one...but it's perfectly placed here. Currently I think about how to handle players requests about a game delay and one option is, giving them the opportunity to activate a CP for a defined number of turns. I'm using SpaceLord as usual CP to ...

1st Corsarian bank - Registration available?

Qapla!

Does anyone know if it is still possible to registrate the addon "1st Corsarian satellite bank"?

And where? These guys seem to have disappeared...

Any comment would be welcome.

Thanks.

Qapla! You're right, this could be a way. It's very easy to handle and the results could be sent to the administrator of the ranks within a few minutes after games end. Every host could still do its own ranking system, but the global system would not depend on that. I have not thought yet about all ...

Hello, RCCL is still online, but not active: http://www.home.aone.net.au/~neilgrigg/ladder.html Last submitted results are from end of 2005 and I don't believe THIS system will come back again. As I said before: much to much work. If using a general ranking system, it would be necessary to make sure...

Also set up a game yesterday, running SpaceLord against Q against me, so I can host a lot of turns in a short time.

Will do some hosting today and then post the result, maybe with some rst files for download, so the interested ones can have a look at.

Actually, you should all agree on some ranking system. If i start playing there now, i'll be a recruit... not good :D Its the same as when you join the French Foreign Legion - everyone starts at the bottom I remember being part of the RCC Ladder...a good system, but submitting the results took much...
