Re: VPA 3.66 beta-5 released

If we can make request, then I have another one :) Yes why not ;)) Can you implement something similar to teleport viewer? Maybe it's a long shot, but it could be a nice additional feature. Nice tool, did not know it before. Well, not too hard to implement, althogh the Planet-Display is already ver...

Re: VPA 3.66 beta-5 released

Ok, I understand - quite hard to bring that into a nice game design.
maybe i can toggle to circles from ground and core, so that you can see how many minerals are in the core. the thicker the line, the higher the density.
same can be done with natives and governments.

Re: VPA 3.66 beta-5 released

ok, so this will be like a prediction of the next turns economy (new minerals, new supplies, new cash, and maybe max cash to 70% or 40% happyness), did i get this right?

Re: VPA 3.66 beta-5 released

I will see how I can realize this, the circles just give a good overview and do not disturb too much. mostly you lack only one of the minerals, the others are turned off anyway. Ok, to add the number in not too difficult, to go in deep: Radius = square root of amount. so 100kt will be radius 10, 900...

Help Installing Sources

Hi folks,

can anybody help me installing JVC sources with Netbeans?

It''s hard to start a new business ;)

I have:
JDK
Netbeans
Sources from SF (Checked out with Smart CVS) - no way to check out with Netbeans
and last but not least almost no knowledge about Java ;))

One of the last Hosts...

Hi folks,

it's sad to say but CM will be one of the last reliable hosts for VGA Planets.

Since Matthias of High Command quits hosting new games...

Re: VPA V3.66 Beta 3 released

If C++ is to complex, you can always join the JVC (Java) client development. http://sourceforge.net/projects/jvc-client/ I just checked this, there has nothing been done the last 6 years. Does anybody have a quick-start for me, since I have absolutely no experience with java... I always liked JVC, ...

Re: VPA V3.66 Beta 3 released

Do you know if i can use netbeans to compile the source? I've never used mingw and netbeans is what i use at work, so i'm more familiar with. As far as I have tried you can only compile the sources with Borland Pascal V7.0 (maybe the french fork V7.1 would do it, too). Nothing else. No Turbo Pascal...

Re: VPA V3.66 Beta 3 released

Congrats on the new release. At first - thank you - i try to to my best. But i think you should consider moving it to java or c and do something like ,well, like VPA but without the need of dosbox. But - there will never ever be a compilation of VPA under Java, C or what ever to run under modern OS...

VPA V3.66 Beta 3 released

Hello folks, here it is - only 2 massive news today: 1. I tried to implement a visual Build-Q (See B, L, N right next to the planet name) 2. I tried to fix the mentioned bug, that VPA doesn't memory overtaken planes by ground attack (did not check this very well) Take care to use the new VPA.MSG Tak...

Re: VPA 3.65 released

No, I don't think that this is the main problem. As far as I can remember the message from turn 23: (-p0000)<<< Distress Call >>> The colonists on XXXXXX have been massacred by YYYYYY forces living on the planet. The colonists fought hard... ...but to no avail. was not parsed by VPA. This was alread...

Re: VPA 3.65 released

Hm, very strange - I read your error message now twice and once more again. I really have no clue how this can happen, and possibly redone. Thats what I understood: 1. You pillaged a LIZ-Planet 2. Result of Pillage no more colonists on it (information from your ships over planet) 3. But VPA shows pl...
