I see someone has a third star base and someone else who doesn't believe in star bases. I didn't want to, but I guess I'll have to build a third just because it's fashionable. I can't believe I'm in ranked in ninth place. It's like I don't know the scoring criteria. :lol:

It's true! Part of the orbiter app take one ship and flings across the universe.
The distance flung is proportional to the time to play your turn.

All I'm going to say is that there are a number of rings from the center of the galaxy out and the inner rings go faster than the outer rings. The author, Kenneth Strom, has never released the particulars of the add-on. Havok, The outer rings rotate at a smaller angle so that they won't exceed 70ly...

I have have found very little information about this mod on the web. I have made a list of X,Y coordinates for a couple planets for turns 1 to 8. On turn 2 thee was no rotation, is that normal? At the start of next turn the mighty cyborg will have TWO STARBASES. that's TWO!!!! That's nice. Everyone (except privs) could have had two star bases on turn 3 if they wanted. Just waiting on Super Tech now. He seems to be a good guy so I'm sure he'll send his turn in as soon as he sees he's last. I did. I'm not sure it's right though. My advisers were in conflict. Some wanted the capital ship for defense and infrastructure. Others demanded it hunts freighters. :twisted:

Yeah I don't get that either. What's the big holdup at this stage of the game? 10 planets in two short hops? Nice cluster! I did notice the angular shift difference of the rotational bands. It is small compared average rotation effect. So the spacing shift changing for some planets hops but not all...

"Lock the way point", no I did not do that. It was a two turn trip (>84ly) so I picked a point within 50ly of the planet that I wanted to visit. This way it is not (totally) obvious which planet I came from.
This turn that planet moved more than 34ly so I can't reach the planet as planned.

Wow, I'm getting dizzy. From turn 1 to turn 2 the universe barely moved. From turn 2 to turn 3 it spun a lot. I guess this is a good enough time to start a new thread now that the game is running on schedule. I saw some very good things and very bad things on my (to be) first planets, but I forgot to colonize my ships. I bet Privs can get get planets faster by towing freighters. There is (almost?) always another planet within 162ly. 'Clans' specifically lists the valid freighters so a beam-less HYP ship would not count either. With or without "clans" HYP ships still have an edge because any engine will do. Real ch...
