Thanks. This will take some work. I can't get it to tax the way I want it to. I'll try again tomorrow. Definitely more potential than Tanascious.

Here's what I'm trying to set up in a test game (giving away a little of my standard strategy/economics, but still...)

By default, I want to:

- growth tax my natives
- not tax my colonists at all (max growth - I'll manually adjust my homeworld)

How do I get that?

In the randmax.ini file there are three sections.
Each section is divided by an ***

fcodes in section1
***
specific planets in section2
***
global commands in section3.


If you already understand the above, awesome, I'm not trying to insult.

Regarding colonists:
What population of clans are you wanting to achieve?

Add the following line to section 3.
ctx 1

Regarding natives:
Add the following line to section 3.
ntx

Hi Bane.

I'm actually experimenting with the data from a running game (GRT) so section 2 of my randmax.ini is full of actual planet numbers. I've also been experimenting with some of the settings I found in the docs. Since it's live data that I don't want my enemies to see, would it be OK if I PM my ini to you for off-line discussion, please?

Well, I'm sold.

I am thoroughly enjoying Randmax.
I used the rudimentary command line back in the 90s,
but the current form 3.0 with all the tweaks?
It does almost everything I want.
And it'd do the rest if I'd maintain the ini.

Turns take less than 1/2 the time for me.
