You just have to plan your strategy around missing some turns is all... Without the fear of a drop, it shouldn't pose to much of a problem, especially in the beginning.

Havok,

You are an evil man… This sounds like a recipe for divorce!

I thought about it, but I resist the temptation!

I usually take more than 2 hours per turn anyway :'-)
So that would mean I have to submit poor quality turns, which would spoil the fun for me :(

If it takes you 2 hours to make a turn this early in the game....

Also I've taken that into consideration. I'll probably extend it to 4 hours before it's over... Depends on how many turns have run.

I must say my other half is less than impressed with me playing in this game.

I think that's what's keeping a lot of people out of this game. Should I push the hosting to once every 6 hours instead?

I think it too late for that in this game. Perhaps you should canvass for opinions before starting another game to try and get more people involved.

More players would be nice, only having three players makes the Borg's life too easy.

It's an experiment and there's always someone who wants to play on the holidays in a short period of time...

I'm really curious how this worked out. I think I'd also get divorced doing this. :) It wasn't going to work for me this time of year.

I like the idea but perhaps a 4 or 6 hour turn around and game ends at turn 50? Create a game with Transport, SB+, asteroids, Wrap Map, and wormholes. Things to speed up the game and provide plenty of minerals. Capture the flag baby!!

The 6 hour turnaround might be a problem during overnight play but in the end it would even out across the timezones. Perhaps make it a weekend only game starting on Friday using GMT as the time hack. 72 hrs /6 = 12 turns a weekend.

Anyway, I liked the idea for us crazy ones. I'd consider joining for a 1 month long, weekend game of mass destruction.
