Is it time to end No Frills 79?

Yes there are more computer players then human players and the top spots are not likely to change.

Post by FLETCH » Tue Jan 18, 2011 5:08 pm

...call it a day on this one.

I really hate to drop a game and leave yet another AI running in this one.

As per Mika's latest post, I get the impression he wouldn't be against a vote to end, what do the rest of you guys think?

Please vote and post that you have done so.

I have voted.

I have also sent messages to the other players to let them know about the vote.

I have to say I was also a bit disappointed about the early drops. Ok, I took the bird HW very early (and with a bit luck) so that drop is ok for me. Later I forced Gil (Empire) out of the game. But Fletch is right... I don't see much chances. The Lizards grew too strong and now it is by far to late to stop them. Especially with several grivtonic ships they are even harder to stop.

Ending this game would be ok for me.
Cheers

Well ][avok it looks like we have 5 out of 5 votes, even if only 3 of us posted...

That's a majority, is the game done?

The main reason I voted to end the game - it has become a burden. Too many planets and ships to manage. Otherwise there started interesting conflicts with Rebels and Crystals... and I considered starting taking over Borgs bases as well.
I would really like to know ASAP if I need to make this turn, or the game is truly over.

same here... I wanted to attack the Fascists. We had a NAP... but then I found some of his ships spying around and started to fight earlier. Was a funny beginning with a few cloakers for me again. The upcoming conflict with the Lizards was also promising but to be honest I guess there are enough good sweepers and in a 1vs1 combat I shouldn't have a chance. The only nice thing was that I would have been able to capture more and more cloakers.

But the same problem... too many ships. I'd really love to see a 300ship limit in a 11player game! would also make small and medium ships more important.

OK looks like we have a smart ass out there voting for a game they aren't in.

Anyway ][avok, we have at least 4 out of the 5 remaining players voting to end this. Can we put it to bed please?
