Choose the Empire as your race ability:
"The Empire is a race that like to show their power and so have developed technology that their ships can work inside an ion storm without any side effects" - IonShield (Ships are not dragged along, damaged or crew killed)

I really-really like this PLS + race customization settings. It is amazing how the simplest of ideas (planets controlled determine ship cap) can fix an apparently complicated problem (ship queue after limit). I just wonder if PLS is playable without race customization. In any case I would love to have more games with this feature.

PLS is 100% playable in normal games as well.
It only work in PHost though.

Tanascius wrote something similar for one of Thomas' Klebes games (for Phost as well, though), I'd guess it's not too hard to implement.

Seems you found PHost's version of the Tim Continuum. I'll ask Bitmask to take a look since he built this game.
