Star Dock Assist

This tool helps you organize your bases in the late game where resources should be in abundance and just need a direction to be hauled to. Choose the ship you'd like to build and get a list of all your bases with data on what is missing to get it started. The list will specify the amount minerals and cash the base needs to issue the build order, as well as how much extra coin you might have to spend for the required tech levels.

Sounds like it could work really good with an app like Teleport.

Update to 1.3
Fixed plenty of bugs, added utilx.dat support to show queue positions and added sorting feature.
You now can also use the tool while the game client is open, on start a copy of the game files is made to work with.

This might help you bring more misery to your enemies. Beware, the tool will self destruct if it helps you bring such to me :lol:.

Updated to 1.41

Fixed math bug in planetary prediction
Fixed some memory leaks
New features:
  • - Teleport support
    - SB+ support (5000MC default)
    - pconfig.src support for race prod/mining/tax rates
    - If you select <Build base> results will show all planets with data on lacking resources to build base+ship
    - Hovering over <This hull> and <Other> shows actual equipment names
Any feedback on bugs or faulty predictions appreciated.

very nice I will have a very close look at it. Seems to improve any gameplay a lot.

Version 1.51 is available. New features are:

- There is a new list+map view (see screens in top post)
- You now can select the columns you want to be displayed

Version 1.6 available now.

Newly added is the 'Best build' feature which calculates and displays the best equipment possible for the selected hull with respect to component priorities and resource availability on each base.


Each ship component can be prioritized with a number between one and three as shown in the example above:
an Iron Lady should be built with best possible beams (1), then engines (2) and with no preference to torps (3).
When you hit <Search> the following steps will be taken:

Priority 1: Calculate best possible beams, consecutively raising tech level as long as resources are available. This first step considers the costs for a set of lowest engines accordingly
Priority 2: Calculate best possible engines..
Priority 3: Calculate best possible torps..

A new column has been added in the result tables where you can see the outcome. If you don't like the slot notation, hover the mouse over a cell for a popup with actual equipment names. If you define two components with same priority the result will be empty.

In the future there will be one more version for SDA where the ship-prediction stuff will be done. If there is another feature you think this tool should also have (or notice any bugs), just let me know.

I must be doing something incorrectly. After entering the game path and race, the Hull, Engines, Beams and Torps fields are grayed out.

The files from the shiplist might be missing, they also have to be in the game path.

There's a help file now, still in draft though.

Version 1.7 ready to go :)

- Proper prediction of arriving ships (many thanks to streu here)
- Prediction for resources gained by recycling and dmp
- You can now also select the number of beams/tubes the ship shall have
- "Best build" now also works with "Build base+ship"
- Help file
