Mine sweeping message utility?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is a util out there that let's you sort the hundreds of mine sweeping message one gets in the late game. For example to separate the "We are scanning our mines" from the "Enemy Mine field detected!" so you don't have to browse them all for one piece of information. Anyone knows?

I once wrote that in Ruby, and then made a Ruby on Rails app out of it.

But I think I lost it like two computer updates ago.

But rather easy to do.

If you use Ecoview it will show you the mines and you can skip all the mine scanning messages :)

Thanks BitMask, now reading the echoview manual of yours :coffee:..
Rimstalker, where can I get the data structures for the client side stuff?

Edit:
Ok, seen enough. No need to reinvent the wheel when you can have a porsche :).

Echoview is a super useful utility. Combine EchoView with Randmax, and you will really cut the time you need to do your turns, and you will find yourself richer, in both Money and Minerals, with very little effort on your part.
Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference.
The US Marines don't have that problem.

Actually, everything but Dosplan will show the mines. So where's the problem? :D

Echoview indeed is an incredible tool :o.

My problem was to anticipate enemy presence like in "was a minefield laid this turn and I just swept it away?". Going through all messages for an apropriate one seems to me the only the way to determine that. Ok.. with Stefans data structures (thanks :)) maybe I can make a tool for that.

PCC, search function...

Code: Select all

Owner<>My.Race And LastScan=Turn
...finds all minefields not owned by you, but scanned this turn.

PCC, write this in your autoexec.q script...

Code: Select all

 Sub HighlightMinefields
    ForEach Minefield Do
       If Owner<>My.Race And LastScan=Turn Then
          NewCircle Loc.X, Loc.Y, Radius, 23, 1, 0
       EndIf
    Next
 EndSub
...and call it from the console by entering...

Code: Select all

HighlightMinefields
...to highlight the minefields. Note that 23 is the color, and the final 0 means that PCC automatically removes the highlighting at the end of the session. (PCC2 isn't yet 100% up to par with PCC 1.x regarding mine scans, in particular from THost.)
:-D
