I recently joined a friend in his kendo training which he does for a long time now and after a few a lessons I wished for new bones and a laser gun :) .

Ok, I exaggerated here... it's actually great fun not do the swinging with the keyboard only from time to time.

Well - I'm a little stiff this morning but not in outright pain - I might survive.

Very different from karate though - even more structured and militaristic. Perhaps thats the difference with kendo being from Japan where the karate I do is based in Okinawa.
