WPFG NYC 2011

Post by FLETCH » Thu Jul 07, 2011 3:39 am

Anyone planning on attending or even competing at the World Police and Fire Games in New York City at the end of August?

It should be a cracker of an event coinciding with the 10th anniversary of 9/11. 13000 athletes registered so far.

I am making the trip and will be in the big apple for a couple of weeks to compete in a cross country event, oh and to party. :D

Here in SA we only run when a Lion chase you (although I will add a few extra animals to the list - Like a Hipo! )

Good luck with your running. When you complete that one, then next time come to SA for the Comrades Ultramarathon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comrades_Marathon 8)
I get tired just watching it on TV...

Here in the old world, people try to outrun a bunch of bulls

Not the brightest of ideas, and not always bull-friendly either, but when you mix this running with drinking boatloads of wine it's some kind of tradition or a bonding experience.

The Running of the Bulls was always high up on my list of Dumbass Things Never To Do.

Hehehehe ...

Agree. If you can't win against a Borg player, at least aggravate the *&% out of him!
