You BMP file are missing, just like the error is saying. You are not a computer idiot, you just might need glasses
Look at http://vgap.innernet.co.za/winplan/download/ and download the Required Files. (New graphics or original)

Yeah I actually managed to work that out. I managed to get into the registration process, but after entering the details, i got an error message "Run-time error, the threed32.ocx file or dependency is missing." WTF. I have a threed.VB file, but not an ocx file. This error message now comes up before the registration process will commence.

Any help appreciated.

i guess you need the VB dlls

http://www.rcworld.de/vgap/filedb/index ... egory&id=4

Winplan system files
\windows\system\*.vbx files

alternatively: possibly, you have a win7/8 laptop and you installed to some fancy folder where winplan can't read the path properly or does not have the correct rights to all subfolders or to install subfolders

when I set it up without changing paths on my win7, it went to C:\Program Files (x86)\WINPLAN

which totally didn't work. I changed it to something like c:\data\winplan\ and it has worked ever since

I think your assumptions about the salaries of admins are a bit off

engineers and programmers are the ones that you pay more, admins are a dime a dozen

Hi Cardno

I just had to do the same.( I brought a new laptop for Xmas)

I installed virtual PC and installed an older operating system (WinXP) and used my Winplan CD to install the game, it seems to have went well so far.

I hope you had a good Xmas and a great new year.

See you around the echo cluster
