The Teams are
Shardin, BANE, Merlyn, Casebolt

Cherek, DF, Havok, Junior

Carrier based races (Borg has not been killed, yet)

10 Planets, 2 starbases, three ships at each starbase, per player

Configuration will be reviewed one more time and then finalized

Ship list is undecided at this time

Map is undecided at this time
Yes, but you then posted the above.
And at the time the message was posted, no race had been picked by either team. The ... (Borg has not been killed, yet) was added to clarify that the Borg hadn’t been killed off because there was a couple of posts about killing off the Borg, so nothing had changed.

If you want to be technical about, it was decide by the two Captains that it was to be a carrier game, and with the exception of the Biocide, all of the armed Borg ships are armed with beams and torpedoes, which clearly means they are not a carrier race.

Btw, next time...please be more clear.

That's why I was asking my questions earlier and would have liked
a conclusive answer regarding the borg. I was under the impression
that the Capts had decided that the option was CV races only and
that the Borg were included in that mix.

Had I known that picking the borg would reopen the torper option,
I would have debated my race POV differently.

If it was known up front that the intention was to have:
EE/Bot/Rebel/CofM as the intented races, the discussion
definitely would have been different.

Now I see why you asked that question earlier. As I look back, maybe I should have killed them also, but I didn't, I did leave door open for either of us to take them.

Ok, so the map is the rift map from the download section
linked to earlier?

If so, which side is our team on?

The map is the Rift Quadrent, with 225 planets per side and 50 planets scattered in the gap, which will need to be changed a little the the existing map.

for clarification...
The reading comp.101 statement is directed at myself.
I read your post, didn't understand it, posted.
Then I reread your post and understood it and edited mine.

Jokes on me.
