So in
Distress call and explosion report,
the only ship not listed was the popper?
All other explosions were reported?

Hmm that is very interesting.

I knew the birds wouldn't get the glory report, in the ship emergency part of the messages, but I am sure in the past, I have alwasy seen/recorded explosions before, if NOT, that is great news.
Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference.

I just ran a group of sims.
Even at 1 LY range, there is no broadcast ship explosion when
a glory device fires.

Klingon Cloaking Dilemma

Here's a Klingon question for you. Me against the Gorn over a planet. My mission is set to cloak because I've got incoming Madonzilla's.

- HCONFIG is set so that cloak failure is set to "0".

- I've got plenty of fuel.

- We're not using Tachyon.

- I got no LOKI decloaking message.

- My primary enemy is set to "Gorn"

However, my COLDPAIN was uncloaked this turn and destroyed.

Any clues?? :-k

With Primary enemy set to Gorn wont you decloak and fight the Gorn if encountered?

That was my understanding...

I'm not positive.. but I think you will declaok and fight your primary enemy. If you have no damage you will then recloak after the combat.

Yup, if you have a cloaker, set to cloak and PE= race X
If Race X brings in an uncloaked warship, then your cloaker will decloak
and attack.

Not only will you decloak to fight a ship of your PE, you will decloak to fight a Planet of your PE. Horrible thing to do when you really meant to Pillage the little bugger instead, because with PE set and mission to Pillage, you will fight planet of your PE instead of Pillaging it.

That's not correct Enemy#1.

You can enter orbit of race X with PE=Race X and cloak and if there
are no ships in orbit, you will not decloak to attack planet/base.

However, if you're set to pillage and PE=race X, you will attack planet,
then pillage your one poor slob into oblivion.

Further, unless things have changed.
Your cloaking warship, if set to cloak, if it remains undamaged after
the ship to ship battle, will recloak and not fight the planet.

This is where Darkwings and extra supplies ROCK!
