Insomnia time... I tried to crash 2 hours ago and woke up.

Empire/Empire Deluxe!?
I played that off and on for years.
I suspect I'll reinstall and play again some time.

Klauser,
Like you, I had my nightmare op system.

95 hated my hardware.

I would install dos 6 I think.
Then I'd install the cd driver.
Then I'd start the 95 install.
Then I'd pray that during the install, 95 wouldn't lose the cd drive.
A real crap shoot, it usually took 3 or 4 attempts always having
to go back to format, dos6, install win95... round and round and round.
Then six months later because 95 degraded till it wouldn't load I had to
do it again. Talk about bash head against the wall over and over.

98 was a huge breath of fresh air.
XP has been far more friendly to me than either 95 or 98.
But 95 is where I learned to drag my feet on a reinstall.
Understanding is a three-edged sword.
Your side,
their side,
and the truth.

98 was my bad one. I've reinstalled 98 more than any operating system to this day. Once I put in ME, it ran right as rain until I put in XP. I know a lot of people have had major problems with ME. I never had one. Maybe because I did a clean install, not sure. But it was a good little OS for me.
