if you play both hosts at the same time you might get confused at times like I do...I'd call that a "down" I guess

Who gets confused :?: The only time I get confused is when I'm playing five or more games at two more sites as the Tholians, but then again, we are about the difference you and me. :pointlaugh:

With Phost, one can't use the normal host alliance codes ff1 FF1 . On the other hand, once you figure out how to set the Phost codes, you can set 5 different levels of alliance. +

Another plus are the extra mission codes. One can have a ship with 200 torps yet still lay a precise minefield with how every many torps one wants, say it is 17, no problem. +

Ships get experience. Your regular torp ship can be as strong as a Nova. +

Host can make a game where players can choose any race they want. +

Can clone a ship after ship limit. +
has a different system to acculmulate PB points and get ships higher in ship build Q.

Can have more than 500 ships + Unless you get 250 yourself -

Rest of the game functions pretty much the same I think. There are other possible tweeks that others are better qualified to than I to explain.

Basically one can play a Phost game with no knowledge of it and be fine. As you play you can learn more as you go.

I have used Echoview since starting, and played my 1st 4 phost games, using just echoview to set the Alliance levels, somebody sent me a email asking me to do something before I even realized there was a host message way of doing it as well.
Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference.

Echoview has it. VPA displays it as well. Also you get ingame messages.
