Regarding Rare & Erasers,
As borg, fairly easy...relatively speaking,
Get the chunnel net up, then the merlins, then alchemy city.

However, TBH, I don't recall whether that last game was rare or normal.
Erasers (the 15/15 borg cube costing 300T/300D/300M IIRC) are cheap
for the firepower
