Invasion Scenario

Post by Vodenkugels » Mon Oct 22, 2007 9:38 pm

1st game @CM is a basic vga/Invasion Scenario
Of course i realize the NEED for expansion but the score leaders ( is that even important) seem to have a high number of freighters thus expanding rapidly. Do these scenarios go along time or is early conflict the key?

Your score in the invasion game is posted via your "In Game" messages each turn. If you don't see any messages yet, that means a players homeworld hasn't fallen at th is point. Let me assure you that things will change in a very short time and you'll know exactly what's going on.

Some people will consolidate and build a healthy economy first and foremost in a game. Others will only build an economy enough to get some warships out kicking butt. Everyone will tell you that, either way, economy (and expansion ) are very important aspects of any game. Having said that, the race you are playing and even personal style of play will also effect how you do things. You may be an in your face, take it to the man kind of player and so maybe Colonies of Man might suit that style. If you prefer to be more sneaky and like a more cloak and dagger kind of game that doesn't involve smashing your opponent from the get-go then the Pirates or even the Romulans might suit you.

It's one thing to own lots of planets but they aren't much good if they are not working for you in some way. This would explain someone have lots of freighters, they need to get colonists and supplies to all thier planets to get them producing. Which will eventually enable you to build more ships a hopefully smash your opponents :)
