http://www.tanascius.com/

(the search engine of your choice would help too)
if you need some hints how to use tanascius, drop a line here.

Better get the latest version straight from the current maintainer:
http://www.phost.de/~stefan/vpa
or straight download link: http://www.phost.de/~stefan/vpa/vpa-3.63-beta2.zip

Hmm, I'm running 3.63b1, time to upgrade.
Thanks PM!

Speaking of VPA, is there a discussion board/something that covers
all the new features that have been added since Alex Ivlev handed
off VPA?

Things like # for "Quality Assurance" and others?

(edit to fix typo)

I guess I'll see if I can get 3.63-beta2 to work.

Basically unzip it in your old vpa folder and everything should be fine - at least it was for me so far :)

@bane: I know no place where only the new features are listed. But there's a file coming along with vpa which lists all of its key bindings, including all (?) new ones: keys.txt

The most important ones for me are
Map view:
# - quality control
Ctrl-F11 - sanity control (unhappy planets, ships w/ little fuel, ...)
Ctrl-Z: Reset all ships with in warp waypoint of the planet they orbit to a waypoint to the planet exactly (avoiding unneccessary fuel consumption).
Also Ctrl-F10, F9, Alt-F9, Ctrl-F9 are very useful for mine field calculations and predictions.
Ctrl-H for hyper jumps
Shift-F1 for resource prediction at a certain point
Shift-F2 for ship prediction at a certain point
Shift-B(?) to toggle ship sorting order
Ctrl-P show PBx codes in use with associated base numbers
Base build view:
n: show resources next turn

Best regards,

I don't know how I'd play w/o VPA.
All the new stuff I've been using most of it, but I just noted the
# for QA and was like, WHAT?

That and the various shiporder variations I haven't studied yet.
Most everything else, I use.

OH, guess I need to ask Stefan why in Maelstrom (phost4 with Plist31)
that when using ctrl-b "build anyrace" that the various hull functions
don't show up.

ie: Gorn Raptor doesn't show as being able to cloak.
(I might be doing something wrong too?)

Best regards,
I'm running Vista and the previous version won't run on it. Yes I could downloaded a program like DOSBox, but why run a program so that I can run another program.

Vista hasn't been to mean to some of the older programs.
Surprised how much is running with it.
