Default:

Uncloaked movement vs normal mines 1 / LY.
Cloaked movement vs normal mines is 0.5 / LY.

Cloaked & Uncloaked movement vs webs is 5.0 / LY.

Use Tanascius Tool to get the correct % of mine hit for the distance travel, Mine Type, Cloak/Not etc. Very nice sim in this regard.

Why do I need Tanascius to tell me what I already know?
ie: If there is a mine there, I'm going to hit it.

My luck in one of my current games has been apalling!
3 ships, 4 LY combined movement: 3 dead ships.
4 ships, 18 LY combined movement, 4 dead ships.

I've never understood how I can send one ship, the one I'm not so worried about usually, through 81ly of mines without a scratch, and the ship that's critical to the mission slams into the first mine it can find.

Maybe the Tachyon emissions act like a mine magnet.

hennef,

Don't worry... AQ3 MBRs hit mines with regularity as well. There's just not enough left to look for after they do so.
