Has anything changed recently? (new laptop, software update etc)

Have you tried reinstalling? different directory?

No, nothing new, and I have not tried re-installing VGAP. It's my Alpha 7 game and I really don't want to mess with it too much.

p.s... I was thinking it might be a virus possibly planted by those dastardly Romulan critters

If it was a Romulan virus, your ships would be turning themselves over to us instead of the Klingon. [-X

Ronald (the other Winplan32 developer) did also say he found some issues with the filters. We are currently busy revamping the starchart screen and all the filters (adding a few new filters). So the next release will include those changes.
