Just noticed this post. I have no idea why the guy quit (back in April). I'm doing quite well actually.

Man, there just isn't very much written about Klingons! Now I know why there isn't that many good Klingon players, no one writes about them.

Huh!! What?? Watch where you stick that painstick, you lowly p'tak!!

Seriously, in my experience the Fascists/Klingons are somewhat undergunned. You can muscle your way to a win over less experienced players. I particularly like raiding my opponent's rear areas - many players can be driven to distraction that way and ignore your main thrust. But smart, careful players - particularly running carrier races - are hard to beat.

Hmmm ... just outta curiousity - what would this Chancellor's job pay ;)

I will use them if I have a specific job in mind – going in cloaked and taking out a Loki so I can pillage as an example, maybe, but that could take 2 Deths depending on the Loki, and you have to support them with D7’s as the fuel tank is crap. In general, I hardly ever build them unless there’s a good reason.

Other than Donovan there isn’t much out there. There was a Klingon Guide thread going on the RCWorld site with a lot of good ideas, but I haven’t been on there in a while.

As I said on RCworld, we Klingons need a Guild of Klingon Commanders to share ideas and tactics. Klauser – I nominate you as Chancellor!
I usually only have 4 Deth's in my fleet, nice little onetime punch, I have never had reason to have more than that, sometimes 2 is good enough. D7's make a great part of of my fleet, but it is both the backbone and achillies heel at the same time, has the range, but no mass and not well enough armed. I think the biggest mistake a New Klingon, commander makes with the popper, and using cheap engines on them, they also want to fight heads up, you can't do that with the big carriers. Take the terror war to them and do it best behind there front lines, Hence lots of D7's in my fleet. My favorite ally to have is the Rebel, not just for the ship trades, but using a cloaker to help RGA/Pillage combo's. Klingons are all about Gorilla warfare. I love to play them, I just hate losing to inferior players, who have much better fighting fleets. CofM is what I consider to be the worse enemy.

Consider this concept.

Why are the Torpers considered weak (particularly Klingons in this case)?

When do torpers (particularly cloakers) have the advantage?
When should they use that advantage?

What happens when they fail to use that advantage?

Every cloaker FTMP that allies with a carrier race cuts their own throat.

Birds/Gorn, aren't really out gunned, they have combo's that can kill bigger ships. Birds can also move in there big boys, with nobody knowing they are there. Gorn's have GA that can't be stopped(except for the Borg) and a ship with a Cargo to deliver the GA, Being able to take 150 damage also helps, plus they can make the combo of ships required to take out Golems/Gorbies and Virgo's. Klingons don't have a carrier, that can do crap, all thier big fighting ships are uncloaked,(when was the last time you saw a bird Deth??) and require lots of fuel to move(bird can wait while cloaked with 1kt for as long as he wants too.
Klingon's have NONE of those advantages. They have half the GA the Gorn has and they cloaker they use for this carries 1/3 the cargo. They have to broadcast movement. I don't like to ally with the Rebels for the carriers but for the Falcon's and the RGA/Pillage combo

You talk more like a Ferringhee than a Warrior. The honour and recognition of the Empire should be enough, you toothless old Grishn'a.

I should never have nominated such a weak toDsaH, but he's probably all we have got.....

When's the last time I saw a Deth?
I use the Deth regularly.

By sticking solely with the Coldpain, klingons limit their strike
potential and if an enemy knows a klingon doesn't build Deths,
he does not have to build to defend against them.

6/4 is superior for the most part to 4/2 in combat.
ES bonus does impact combat effectiveness.
