It's a tool that helps players still using DOS to see things on their maps that is automatically done in WinPlan.

If anyone has 100 hours it's you my friend. You should play the privateers in each of these games.

Hi Havok

What about a veteran player game. For those players who often ends up with 100+ planets/ships.

Minerals some way below average to avoid to many bases.

No large meteors - they randomize the game to much in my opinion. They also allow to many bases to be build.

Give the EE 8 free fighters and the birds 2.

HW circle - about 500 LY distance.

Someone might come up with a reasonable map.?

Highest score in turn 125 wins.

No messages/name of players not shown at the gamesite if possiable? No change of shipnames allowed/ nameless ships are also allowed.

All the above is to prevent cooperation. Since everyone in this game should be fighting by there own strengt alone. If no communication is possiable/allowed there can be no grey areas.

Random Join, since some races are stronger than others.

Player wanting to join might sign up on a list at the forum, to secure they are actually veterans. Rank are not really importent.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Havok you might considder using a "diplomatic" setup like this for some games for less experienced players as well. Since it will allow them to get a feeling for the game witout being destroyed by an alliance early.

So sorta another Bell Tolls game.

I've thought about some "Vet" games and I think it's a solid idea.

Anyone else want to add something to that?

Havok,

IIRC, when we discussed the initial Bells concept, it was adapted
from the Sharenet Blind tourney and IIRC, you said AT won't
allow you to setup a truly anonymous listed game.

When I brought up the topic last year with Red Troll, he said
that the way they did it was with a second server that was not
publicly visible.

A second AT server with the players just assigned a number, no aliases if I recall.

While I wouldn't say I'm a veteran player at the age of 35, I'd be a keen starter for this game. Random race allocation, no allies and low mineral count sound good to me!
