Hmmm, heavy would mean several small to medium class ships and one or two heavy class fleets, which is the way it is normally done. One or two capital ships (carriers and battleships) surrounded smaller ships (Cruisers, Destroyers and auxiliary ships) sounds good. Besides, I need more practice with the heavy version anyway.

With Plist 3.1 I would say standard or lite.

Or TList.

We might be able to get more players to play if PList 3.1 was Standard or Lite version or if TList was used. PList heavy take more strategy planning.

Right, and with a game using a beta of new software, the heavy would slow the game down. IMOP.

I've been wanting to try out both FLAK and PHost for a while.

So if this is a chance to do both, I'm in!!

Do you insist on PList 3.1?

My previous FLAK test game used PList 2.4 standard, so I would have used that. PList 3.0 should also work if you want something newer. The problem simply is that FLAK doesn't yet support new stuff such as "Commander" ships.

PList 2.4 standard is fine with me.

Remember, PList 2.4 doesn't use Crew Experience.

I know.

I prefer 3.1 due to that being the latest with all the cool new
gizmos, but if 2.4 is chosen, that won't stop me from testing FLAK.

This means ships don't get funky new gadgets for fighting, but they can still get better fighting strength.

If it were FLAK?
FLAK's still a beta. I wouldn't want to run a game in that unless everyone knew what they were getting into.
From my own experience (playing around with it a bit locally) the Beta of FLAK is at least as good as the "stable" releases of the former two...
