The Mig Class scouts will automatically detect and destroy all Birdman minefield beacons that are (20) ly from the ship's position at the start of the turn.

Not sure about the considerable range bit.

Thats its normal function, but the description of kassengestalt indeed suggest this functionality is turned off.

Shiplist corrections. Below are the shipnames with behind them the races that do not get it, even though it was in my excel.

D7a armed transport, 3
Iron Slave Torpedo Boat, 8
Neutronic Fuel Carrier, 9
Opal Kamikaze Boat, 6
RU25 Gunboat, 7
Serpent Class Probe, 1
Swift Armed Transport, 2
Taurus Class Scout, a
Watcher Long Range Probe, 5

That is what I could find being wrong. Only real problem seems to be the torp boat for the empire... dreadfully sorry about that.

Let's wait for Havoc.

I'll release a new excel in the weekend when I'm back from holidays.

29. 8. 2002, 12:16:00 is the timestamp from all my *spec.dat and truehull.dat files - yours too ?

Yes, except the ENGSPEC.DAT which is from the same date, but 23:20 instead. My files are fine.

My mistake was assuming the echoview generated list would be good to use.

I've marked mistakes in red in the global shiplist. I'll remove the previous link in order not to put more people on the wrong track. The reason for ship id40 is probably that jumpiter requires exactly 105 ships in the list.

B: according to my shiplist, its the "heart of gold probe", which is a bird man only ship. It fits with the description on the website of power game details for the birds

Too bad it's not the ruby... filled wit webmine goodness, that would have been fun :-D
