Welcome to Alpha Quadrant 8

Alpha Quadrant 8 is a Star Trek Race / Ship mod set in Next Generation / DS9 era.
Game runs 3 times a week until turn 25, then twice a week or when all turns are in.
Victory Condition - Domination - Last race standing or upon agreement by players.

Mods: Allies (1 Ally), Starbase+, Teleport.
Shiplist: Alpha Quadrant 2.0.
Map: Custom.
Homeworlds: Random.
Extra Rich HW. Random Normal Planets. High Pop. Very High Money.
Starbase @ HW w/ 2 ships.
TimHost 3.22.47.
Rank To Join: Planetary Buccaneer.

Just to throw a cat amongst the pigeons...

Just pondering what I know about the races in this scenario, and the list of players you have in this one...
In my opinion AQ8 will become a 3 or 4 horse race. Of course what alliances form may stall the result but my prediction stands.

I mean no disrespect to anyone so I will keep the details of who to myself but feel free to discuss, debate, trash talk amongst yourselves to your heart's content.

Not at all, after 7 turns of trying I give up. This turn I took all ff/FF codes off trying one more time next turn. My to be Ally side seems to work but my side don't pick it up now its just costing us both any advantage of having a Ally.

My potential allies seem to be shooting at me at the moment... No one has a sense of humor anymore. It was only a couple of ships! #-o

Never seen friendly codes not work. I'm looking into it.

In all the playtesting and games using AQ, I've never heard of friendly codes NOT working either. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread ...

Then at least 4 Players are unable to Ally, this did not just start now it has been a problem for me and my Want to be Ally from turn 8 it is now turn 16. Turn 7 I had set FFx Code and it has not worked. This is why I spoke up there seems to be a problem with not only me but at least 3 others players and perhaps more. Glad it is working for some but the longer the game continues the more unfair it becomes for others.

Does one have to start Ally with a ffx first and then follow up with a FFx the next turn to become full allies? or just start off FFx? I used a Ship set to FFx code on turn 7 it is now turn 16.

I can see why Gavan is so gleeful we are neighbors, let us see how long that smile last with or without a ally.

Just FFx on a ship is all I have ever used.
