I've never really cared for anything J.J. Abrams has been involved with and in particular I hate what he did to the Star Trek franchise.

So I went into "The Force Awakens" yesterday half-convinced he would screw-up another franchise.

I'm happy to report I was wrong.

Saw it yesterday. It was everything I wanted it to be, and more.
Did it have its flaws? Of course. But it was good enough that I could overlook them.
So everyone go see it already so we can talk about the really good parts!

At last I had some time to go and watch the new Star Wars. Not bad, although the ending was kind of dull for me ...?

Yeah the ending was just a setup for Ep.8.

While I agree the last scene was a blatant setup for Episode VIII, I have to remember that Star Wars was based on the old movie serial which did exactly the same thing.

Hmm, anyone else bugged by the little woman picking up a lightsaber and without any practise fight someone who did have a mentor...

Dunno, where is the training and senseless exercise?

Movie felt a bit rushed to me, but maybe I'm getting old.

Oh... And Snoke... Really... The epitome of evil is called Snoke...
Sounds like the name of an imp in a Harry Potter movie.
Someone fire whoever was in charge of names...

When this movie first came out I thought I would not bother with it at the cinema. (After the last 3 , in release date order)

After reading some of the posts from people here I thought I should go at least see it since both people who liked the last 3 and hated the last 3 seems to agreed this one was worth seeing.

The funny thing is at this point I still have not seen it and I am still not sure I will see it in the cinema. (that is not to say I will not say aaarrrhhh and press download)

Ok so I went to the cinema yesterday and watched EP 7.

As an aside do not bring your 5 year old son to a 2 hour plus movie with nothing to do. He will run around and ask his parents all sorts of questions the entire theater can hear.

As for the movie itself you can see that JJ Abrams directed it from the opening which I did enjoy. (EP 1,2,3 looked like a Disney movie)

I did enjoy the movie in the end but it did feel like a remake of EP 4 at least half the time.

I will go see EP 8 when it comes out to find out if she is really that strong in the force or did they need 15 more minutes in EP 7.
