I'm here purely for the strategy. If this game was repliacted in a different environment, ie WWII, I would enjoy it just the same amount.

Having said i am here for the strategy - i would have thought after a few years now i would have been better at it than i am!

BSG. I have nothing against Mormons btw.

My understanding is that the concept of the 'lost tribe of earth' is actually central to their doctrine

I think the Mormon excursion was loosely based on their trek. But the influences of many things have been brushed on and borrowed from from many Sci-Fi franchises. Egyption culture and the 12 tribes of the zodiac being other major influences.

The current BSG uses some of that as well, but the real in your face thing about the new BSG is that it throws a lot of current generation big questions into the mix, turning the show into a moral and ethical debate. It makes you think, and is dark and realistic instead of campy like the original. Good guys aren't straight and narrow dorks, bad guys aren't just black hat bad guys. There's many many shades of gray.

IMOP, it's an awesome show. It's been my favorite for the past 3 seasons.

Good review ][avok - maybe you should be doing this for some mags and being paid for it? :D
