I have literally copied my disk to a folder on my thumb drive and just go into the folder and use the setup program to install VGAP into a new folder on the thumb drive when I want to play a game remotely.Gilgamesh wrote:OK - I'm not one for expensive technology for its own sake, but these things are around $10 for 4 gig here in Canada and I could play turns here at work, so I'm intrigued. How do you set it up? Can you pull Echoview and Tanascuis onto it as well? How do you keep it in sync with your home PC or do you just play off the flash drive all the time (and hope you don't forget it at work)?
You're talking about copying folders with Winplan. (which will probably work as well)Gilgamesh wrote:Sorry - I don't understand what you said there.
So - day 1 - I come home with the flash drive, plug it into a USB port and copy my Winplan and Echoview folders to the flash drive? What do you mean by running the setup program?
I wonder who's missing in Oblivion2?!!?!??!?!Havok wrote:I find I alternate.
For example, I'm in Oblivion 2 and play that on my box at home. But I've got a copy of the game on my thumb drive as well, and if I need to play a turn while away from home, I have my setup, and some data (turn history) on the thumb drive in VPA.
So I can play my turn from anywhere that way, and then log into my web mail and send the turn in afterwords.
Actually, I have a similar project in mind for quite a while already. I know that most of you are not into Linux, however, I think it might still be useful.Havok wrote: I have literally copied my disk to a folder on my thumb drive and just go into the folder and use the setup program to install VGAP into a new folder on the thumb drive when I want to play a game remotely.
