PList 3.2 + FLAK?

Havok,
Please?

Streu,
If you see this, I don't recall if FLAK is configured for PList or
for default ship list. Clarification would be great.

All,
Who's interested?

Thanks.

Thanks.
If someone wants to build it, I'll host it.

(JFTR: to make sure I see something, send mail; reading forums is hard work, so I often miss things.)

FLAK can be configured for both, I recall having written a doc file detailing the different configuration. Shouldn't be a problem do adjust it for someone capable of reading :-) (I would have to look it up, too, but I'll of course assist with the setup.)

The existing FLAK binaries probably don't correctly support PLIST 3.2, because PLIST is newer. However, I'm currently working on getting a new version of PHost out of the door, and after that a new devkit, which would make FLAK support PLIST 3.2 completely. I guess it'll still take a few weeks, but should be enough for a start in January 2011.

It doesn't seem that Planetsserver is coming back soon, so I guess I'm looking for a nice game, too.

So is it time for requests? Or is it to late. There is a few changes that I thought of a while back that would be nice for the UnNatural Selection series of games....

Go ahead. I'll never claim a version to be the last one. If you're seriously interested, the best place is the phostdev mailing list, where all PHost and PLIST developers and other developers hang around.

Just following up here.

Since this was originally posted I haven't seen any further inquiries.

If there's going to be an update later (per Stefan's post) then I think we should hold off until then anyway.

Bump & Inquiry...

Any chance of getting a FLAK game assembled?
I have long since lost my links to the FLAK page.
(emailing streu here in a sec.)

I'd be happy with whichever shiplist is used.

Not a very good time for me to be tempted with such a game.. but I did a first setup using streu's zips from here, by unpacking

flak-program.zip into the main dir
flak-data.zip into the game dir

Running amaster and then phost (phost seems already to be configured for calling the FLAK-server on its own) works at once, though questions on fine tuning amaster.src and pconfig.src remain. According to the docs the shiplist in flak-data.zip is PLIST 2.4. I've put the archive containing this first setup here.

I'd be interested in trying a game with Flak.

How close is this game to becoming a reality?

I'm busy with Unnatural 5 game at the moment which should be live this weekend. I might be able to look at this setup after that, but can't see it starting in the next month (Busy with work this side)

FLAK or Unnatural Selection 5 sounds good to me.

I have recently found that my VGAP itch is starting to return.

Take this as a warning.
