There are ways to take out your Capital ship but it'll have to wait until after the Crystals are out of the way. It won't be long.

Well I certainly will be able to take out the Priv capital ship - but it will require the majority of my fleet and because of this I have to put you off for a bit longer Mr. Privateer. Apologies for the delay :D

Now I'd like to see Mr. Robot making fuel with his Merlins as he says:

"while my Goloms move closer to the front and Merlins create more and more fuel"

How come we don't get Merlins that can make fuel? I feel ripped off.

ROBOT SHIP TALLY TO-DATE:

5 Cats Paws
1 Instrumentality
0 Golems

Add to this - another 8 Robot ships with zero fuel stuck in my web mines floating in space and the fact that every turn I inch closer and closer into his space. His mine hits on my Emeralds do 55% damage to me. Some supplies or a quick repair at our Starbases and those ships are back to work.

While all of this is going on - both Mr. Robot and I are feasting on the Birdman remains. The Birdmen cloakers are really really really handy. He built them to my specs and for that I am forever grateful.

So Mr. Robot - do you think you'll get on your knees and beg for Crystal forgiveness within 50 turns? I'd say that you are stubborn and it will take me closer to 75-80 turns. Once I capture my 4th Golem I figure you'll give in.

When you surrender to me (unconditionally) you have to say "Crystal Web Mines are superior to Robot Minefields"

Which we know is true (and you'll find out soon enough =D> )

Lizard Cloakers, Bird cloakers, Privateer Cloakers whatever. They both hit minefields just fine as has happened numerous times. I don't see their benefit when you keep them 100's of LYs away from the warzone. Why don't you bring them closer, I promise I won't hurt them. Cross my heart.

Those Cats were sent to the front because they were crap, small engines, little torps (but great for me), with average beams. If you think those few ships really meant anything to me, well go ahead if it makes you feel better. Its cute how the small, inconsequential engagements get you all excited and puffed up!

You keep "inching" forward, ain't that the truth! You're following the Crystal manual 101 to the letter. Take your time while I make Golems, take your planets, and establish fully loaded SBs. You're webs are nothing more than a temporary hindrance and at some point you're gonna have to try and take a planet and when you do my Golems will greet you with a hearty hello and then I'll make more, send those forward, and repeat.

Heheheh that's what I'm looking forward too Dano - I'm going to take down your Starbases and that will shock you!

Yes you are correct that your Cats Paws were mostly crap - I've put them up for auction as scrap metal. But better in my hands than in yours. You are quickly running out of mine layers my friend. Bring on the Golems - they have 6 beams (whoo hooo). Compare that to the many mine sweeping task groups that I have out on the front lines (4-5 Diamonds + Emeralds) and you're noticing that your minefields are not staying up very long. =D>

and BTW - re: Crystal 101 playbook - Yes I wrote it!!!

Epic minefield battle and I'm winning hands down. You can jack up as many SB's and free fighters as you want - leads to a puffed up score. My fleet is the only one that keeps increasing every turn :D

I'm still looking for the game you're playing because it's not the one I'm in. Your ships are all beat up trying to move a few LYs, I have 2 or 3 full Cats sitting over full SBs dropping minefields one after the other just to watch you slowly move to your bloody but inevitable end. Every turn I solidify the northern map, make Golems, more fuel, and send it forward. Your webs are cute and all but twelve Tech 10 beams on two Golems sure does wonders as you can plainly see.

As you slowly make you way to a beautiful, colorful, explosion I will flank and cut off your fleets far away from your supply lines.... I am sort of modeling my strategy on the Russians against the Germans in WWII. Keep coming forward... a little more... a little more.... just a little more....

Maybe you should go back and rewrite that 101 book. Add a chapter on how to gratuitously and spectacularly lose.

Well that does explain a lot. You probably have not seen the latest turn file where your ships are hemoraging fuel. Your ships are getting banged by more web mine hits than actors in a typical porn film.

I don't wish to dissuade you from continuing to move your ships within my glorious web mines - really I don't mind getting the 300 messages indicating Robot ship x has hit a web mine. Every time you hit my web mines you lose 1/6th of your fuel and makes it faster for me to start processing your crew to join my team.

In the meantime my fleet is fairly free to move about your single layer minefields. Check this one out:

(-s0053)<<< SUBSPACE MESSAGE >>>

Vicky053
We have passed through a mine field.
We passed through 75 light years of mines last turn.

or this one

(-s0048)<<< SUBSPACE MESSAGE >>>

Torch048
We have passed through a mine field.
We passed through 75 light years of mines last turn.

But in other news....

(-w0036)<< MESSAGE FROM ENEMY >>
<<< DISTRESS CALL! >>>

Lil Hurt 36 ID # 36
Has struck a WEB mine! Damage is at 9%
We are stuck in the web! We are burning fuel to keep
our shields up!

( 2338, 1962 )

Yikes! that ship (Instrumentality) is in big trouble as I'm dropping 2 more large web mines around it. Ohhh isn't that also the area where one of your Golem's is stuck? Hmmmm things might start getting uncomfortable back at your HQ - imagine the look on your General's faces when you have to explain the loss of your first Golem to them.

I see you losing ground north of the Priv space, and now you are losing ground in the Bird Man space. You are holding the middle for now - congrats on that. Keep your chin up and keep on fighting!

Ummmmm Robot crews do not turn traitor so you're not getting any of my crew for one thing. Second, hitting minefields is the cost of killing the Crystals so I make sure I have 2k fuel on my Gollums and 980 on my Instrumentalities when I move. Its nice having a large capital ship AND fuel carrier. Oh and here's a tip, just because a ship hits a webmine doesn't mean the ship is hurt.... shhhhhh I carry extra supplies too.... shhhhhh don't tell anyone.

So you want to trade messages? OK hows this?
Battlecruiser
ID # 244
Has struck a mine!
AT: ( 2396 , 1948)
Damage is at 55% {Ouch did that hurt?}

Battlecruiser
ID # 55
Has struck a mine!
AT: ( 2529 , 2065)
Damage is at 110% {Ohhh this one did hurt!!} {PS- Thanks for the new Gollum!}

BIG HURT 462
We have passed through a
mine field.
We passed through 31
light years of mines last turn. {I too can travel through minefields and get lucky}

You just keep coming. I'm waiting for you, but in the meantime I'll keep making Gollums, fighters, and collecting Bird planets at my leasure.... [-X

Please keep creating more Gollems - and small request - would you consider changing the interior of your ships from that ugly hot pink Miley Cyrus type theme to a more neutral grey or blue colour? I'm having a hard time finding Crystal troops that will serve on your old ships. The My Little Pony commander seat was cute but really really unnecessary so we had to replace them.

And furthermore any of your Gollems or Instrumentalities that do not meet our high standards (engines, beams etc.) will be returned to you. So please make sure your factories are informed.

I tried to sell the last batch of your ships to the Privateer but he won't touch them. He refuses to negotiate, calling them pure space crap. Perhaps I can show him some of the newer ships you've donated (and maybe if you wouldn't mind - could you please include a 3 yr warrantee on the parts and labour? that might help me sell them to the Privateer).

I'm coming for you - albeit slowly but you just can't rush a good web mine! :D

Good webmine? I had no idea there was such a thing, annoying web mines perhaps but never a good webmine.

The Miley and Little Pony designs are from our original creators so we killed them. It's OK, we've upgraded the upholstery along with our beams. You will experience our new generation of ships soon enough, just keep coming forward.... please?

I'm moving as fast as I can - my fleet is ripping your minefields down very quickly but I keep getting interrupted by having to tow capture your space junk. I can only process so many of your ships per turn (I think I'm averaging 2 of your ships per turn now).

You seem to be running backwards pretty good though LOL.

Well Privateer, if you're simply an observer why are you always the LAST race to turn in your turn? If you would turn it around faster those of us who are more than observers would appreciate it.

The sooner you get your turn in, the quicker the Crystals will go BOOM. =D>

"the quicker the Crystals will go BOOM"

Um yeahhhhh you keep having those wet dreams Danno LOL. I'm surprised you are actually getting any sleep since you seem to be very busy backing up your fleet every turn.

My Privateer colleague was just observing those pink web mines moving further and further north as you backtrack.

Hey good news though - last turn was the first in a while that I did not take over one of your ships. Celebrate the small victories LOL.

I still am on record as saying that the Robots will surrender to me after I've taken his 4th Golem from him. So far you have a few Golem's stuck in my space now. The only thing saving you so far has been the large fuel tanks. But you can't hold out forever.

I'm going to name the first Golem that I capture PRINCESS after you Danno LOL
