Game signup & Player Rankings

Post by BitMask » Mon Aug 22, 2011 1:13 pm

As all of you know each player has a ranking which comes from submitting turns and finishing games.

Just to refresh your memories, the ranking are the following:

Code: Select all

Space Cadet: 0 - 10 points
Planetary Buccaneer: 11 - 30 points
Solar Knight: 31 - 60 points
Stellar Scourge: 61 - 100 points
Void Commander: 101 - 160 points
Sector Menace: 161 - 320 points
Star Admiral: 321 - 640 points
Quadrant Tyrant: 641 - 1280 points
Galactic Warlord: more than 1280 points
The new rule will be as follow:
No Frill and Brass Tacks game will allow all players: Space Cadet and higher.

All other game types will only allow players Planetary Buccaneer and higher.

So new players will need to play a NF or BT game and build up some points.

Thank you.

hi!
explain, how this site evaluates the rating of players?
I see clearly, losers, who has played a lot of games, have rating is high. but this rating, it turns out, does not reflect the skill of the player.
or rating there are the number of games played?

What I do to try and judge my opponents is go here:

http://www.circus-maximus.com/hof.htm

And count how many times someone was 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Unfortunately, in the score its hard to differentiate between skill and attendance
