When the first colonists entered the Echo Cluster, they are said to have encountered large winged beasts that they called Dragons. The legends said the Dragons inhabited a planet in the center of the Echo Cluster. For years, the colonists tried to find one of these Dragons on a planet, but were only able to find them flying through the void of space. With a speed of warp 15, their ships had no chance of keeping up with the Dragons.

Terrestrial contact was made by the Crystal People on the former colony of Small World. They were taxing the Insectoid population at a very high rate in order to maximize the potential monetary gains before an advancing Empire task force captured the planet. The natives began to riot, and a White Dragon attacked the Crystal colony, destroying all the colonists. Imperial Troops, landing a few months later, found nothing more than the charred remains of their colony.

That was the first and the last time any race within the Echo Cluster has had contact with one of the Dragons.

Publisher Description
Non-Aligned Worlds (NAW) is an add-on for VGA Planets 3.5 that takes advantage of the AUXHOST features found in host 3.2+. This add-on provides the capability for players to interact with a group of planets whose primary mission is to improve themselves economically. While the players within a VGAP game are attempting to increase their position using a combination of politics, economics and militay power, the NAW keep their aims at providing a source of suppilies for what they realize will quickly become an Echo Cluster in need to these same supplies to feed the growing war machines of the other races.

Research and Develpoment (R&D) is an add-on designed to allow players to develop, change and use ship designs DURING a game of VGA Planets. This will allow players to develop specialty ships to use in their on going battles in the Echo Cluster, without having to rely on designs made by someone else.
