Power Game - The Lizards


The Lizards

Lizards are much stronger than any human like race. A single Lizard can deal with 30 aliens during ground combat, and he can still do with 10 aliens while defending his planets. That's why the Lizards focus their research on how to get troops on alien planets, rather on building huge battleships. But Lizard warships also benefit from the Lizards strength: They can take 150% damage before destroyed. Lizard mine workers are twice as effective as any human weakling. And if the Lizard people become unhappy, ships with beam weapons can hissssss the planet to calm down the people.

Native gifts from Reptilians

Lizards get presents from their related native race, the Reptilians.

Super Growth

When Lizards meet a well temperatured planet (50 degrees), they reproduce 10 times faster than any other race. When reaching the 20,000 clans limit, reproduction slows down to average speed.

Reptile C-Bomber

The Reptile can now launch a chemical strike against enemy population by using 45 supplies. Each strike kills 15% of the planet's population, and only one strike per turn and planet is possible. You must also have more ships than the enemy orbiting the planet, to provide cover for the Reptile. The C-Bomber must not be damaged. To make 3 strikes possible, the cargohold was enlarged to 135 kt. Activation code for the Chemical Bombing is CHx (with x any character).
Like most smaller Lizard ships, the Reptile can cloak. The latest version of the Reptile has a scooping device like the Colonies' Cobol, gathering 2kt fuel for each LY travelled. This requires high tech engines, but with the new engine types it's not obvious which engines are actually needed. Reports from experienced Lizard commanders are appreciated.

Lizard Cloaking Freighter

The former LCC has been changed to become a slightly armed cloaking freighter with huge cargoload.

Eros Terraforming Vessel

The Lizards' terraformer can do both: Heating and cooling. Each month, the planet's temperature gets one degree closer to the right temperature for Lizard super growth. Needs 4 engines for the power consuming terraforming process.

Vendetta Torpedo Boat

The Vendetta has been redesigned to be an agressive torpedo launcher with 7 tubes.

Saurian Cryo Assault Craft

The new Saurian has 6 beams, 3 tubes and 200 kt cargo-hold. But most important, it can now transport cryogenic freezed ground troops. The Saurian can transport 10 freezed clans instead of 1 awake clan. Each month, 200 clans could be beamed down onto planet, while the next set of 200 clans would be defrosted. Cryo-holds can be loaded by shipcode LCH, and unloaded by normal unload-command. But mind not to store anything else in the cargo room. You can safely beam up/transfer money and fuel. 5% of the loaded clans will die each month due to cryogenic malfunction.
The Saurian can also lay minefields up to 150 LYs away from the ship. Warp speed must be zero, FC set to RML and the waypoint set to the wanted center of the minefield. Depending on the distance, not all mines will reach their destination. This functions works independent from the ships mission.

Madonzilla Class Carrier

This is the only Lizard carrier. It was slightly improved (more fighter bays, more cargohold).

T-Rex Class Battleship

The new T-Rex has a slightly enlarged cargo-room. But more important, it can convert torpedos into anti fighter mines. The mines would destroy enemy fighters (only fighters launched from ships) if the code xAF is set and a primary enemy was selected. "X" stands for "Q"=quarter, "H"=half, "T"=three forths and "A"=all torpedos. Be careful to set this FC only if you are sure to face a battle next turn, for the torpedoes will be converted even if no battle occurs!
