Dismiss is designed to work in a batch file. By default, it will only run once a turn. You should use it after UNPACK and before your client software (i.e. Planets or VPA). Do not use it after you have done your turn or you will erase some of your carefully planned work.

Enter the E-S bonus in the game, along with the ship type and shield strength witnessed (during a battle). It will do the rest for you. :)

This utility is designed to calculate single and double jumps for Hyperspace Ships. It is most useful for Falcon and PL21 probe type ships. The Borg B200 hasn't enough of a fuel tank to make multiple jumps. It works by reading the game's data files, checking the Friendly Code of ships.

If a hyperjump calculation is requested by a ship, Hyper then changes the FCode to HYP, calculates a single or double jump and changes the waypoint of the ship.

Research does this. It allows players to back-engineer a hull then add it to their ship list. A player can have a maximum of 20 ship types. Some races have spare slots, in which case these are used up by Research. If the player has no spare slots (such as the Feds who have 20 ship types), the Friendly Code can be used to determine which of the ships should be replaced.

As an example, if you catch hold of one of those nasty Pirate types, you could take his MBR back to base, research it, then build them yourself.
