Publisher Description
RCC VGAP Host Information Reader (HIR) will read in act.log created by Chris Holz's ACTion. Then it will create customisable message body for games with the info from act.log displayed in plain English. This message could be used in any way the host desires. Usually, it is best used as part of a host automation program. HIR has been programmed with ACT v3.03 in mind.

Huge Rock
Version: v1.2
Type: Freeware

The Den of the Draconian

Publisher Description
Huge Rock allows SkyFire class cruiser to fire mass driven (MD) duranium at enemy planets and cause damage. This add-on affects the hull number 48 and can be used by any race. This add-on supports ALT-ship lists and Phantom Software's R&D.

While this add-on is called Huge Rock, MD-ships definitely do not fire rocks <g>! MD will launch huge plasma-heated & hyper-compressed duranium at planets (if a ship is given an order to attack one of its own races' planet, it will do so (like RGA). The MD causes great burden on planetary defence shields and when the shield is not effective enough, it will damage the colony.

Huge Rock series 2 allows hosts to select up to 11 starships which can fire mass drivers. This ability is hull dependent and have nothing to do with races. This means that even if the ship is captured and owned by another race, the mass driver will still work.

This add-on supports multiple directory structure of the host supported by AUXHOST# slots.

Publisher Description
Huge Rock Advanced allows one ship from all races to fire mass driven (MD) duranium at enemy planets and cause damage. This add-on affects the hull numbers 10, 25, 30, 48, 58, 61, 69, 83, 90 and 102. The MD mechanism is not race dependant and is hull dependant. This add-on supports ALT-ship lists.

Huge Rock Advanced is a natural progression from the original Huge Rock which provided MD ability to Skyfire class cruiser. The Advanced edition supports multiple directory structure of the host supported by AUXHOST#.INI. Advanced provides MD ability to the following ships :

Race Ship Name Hull #
==== ========= ======

  • Feds Arkham class frigate 10
  • Lizards Saurian class light cruiser 25
  • Birdmen Skyfire class cruiser 48
  • Fascists Valiant Wind class carrier 30 *

  • Rebels Sage class frigate 90
  • Colonies Scorpius class light carrier 102

* Birdmen Valiant Wind can NOT fire MDs.

Publisher Description
The host.exe does not update the happiness of planetary population if they are neutral. So, if a planet goes under prolonged high tax, RGA or Pillage and the colonist populations are wiped out because of civil war, any colonists who come to the planet after the extermination of previous owners will suffer from 'ghost' civil wars. This virtually renders the planet inhospitable no matter how many turns have passed.

This add-on attempts to take over the host.exe's function for neutral planets and thus make sure 'ghost' civil wars do not occur after certain time. This is achieved by increasing the happiness gradually during inoccupancy of the planets upto 70 (populations content at 70).

The formulae used have been worked out so that players can not beam the colonists up and benefit from higher happiness recovery rate. This is due to the fact that the formulae will allow revovery of happiness lower than or equal to the normal rate with colonists on the planet at 0% tax when the happiness is > 0. When the happiness < 0, higher recovery rate will kick in. Even at 100% tax rate, the happiness will not go under 0 in one turn. However this will still cause riots and no tax yield, so players can not beam up clans to benefit from tax yield higher than normal. This add-on also works only on neutral planets. Thus the Lizards' Hiss ability will be unaffected.

Version 2.4 and later versions support multiple directory structure of the host supported by AUXHOST#.INI.

Publisher Description
Planet Name Editor for VGAP allows players using Winplan to automatically change planet names. Players should set the planetary code to "CHA" and then send the required command using Winplan's ability to send message to the host.

This is the full version of PName. It has finally come as I promised with proper notification system using messages. Later versions will only be bug fixes though I might consider support for DOSplan users (which is a bit more difficult than what I did for PName). Multiple directories are supported in version 2.2.

Publisher Description
VGAP Planet Transfer Protocol (GivePlan) allows players to automatically transfer planets and starbase in orbit to another player. I have made this program very simple to use and only 1 new friendly code is required.

This is the full version of GivePlan as I promoised in the doc file for version 1.5 beta. This version has all features originally intended to have by the author. Future versions will be bug fixes.
